Judge sentences men in connection with Yarm and Middlesbrough jewellers armed robberies

Eleven men have been sentenced at Teesside Crown Court in connection with two violent armed robberies at Market Cross Jewellers in Yarm and Middlesbrough.

Eight members of what police called an organised crime group entered early guilty pleas in relation to the robberies in November 2014 and January 2015.

Over £600,000 of stock was taken and staff were threatened with weapons including one item which resembled a handgun.

Sentencing continues for Yarm and Middlesbrough armed robberies

David Patmore, 32, from Manchester, has been sentenced to 19 and a half years in jail for conspiracy to commit robbery at the jewellers in Yarm along with a number of other crimes.

Shaun Booth, 32, from Manchester has been sentenced to 12 years and eight months in jail for conspiracy to commit robbery at the jewellers in Yarm.
