Up to 100 vehicles were trapped in snow for three hours at Carter Bar, in North Northumberland at the border with Scotland.

Between 70 and 100 vehicles were trapped in snow last night on the A68 in North Northumberland at Carter Bar, on the border with Scotland.
Border Search and Rescue sent four mountain rescue teams.
