EDL protest and counter-protest on Teesside
An estimated 200 people took part in a protest against the English Defence League in Middlesbrough. It was organised to coincide with a demonstration by members of the EDL, which is taking place later.
Police thank public after Middlesbrough protests
Cleveland Police thanked members of the public and local businesses in Middlesbrough for their co-operation during a protest by the English Defence League and a counter-protest held earlier in the day by those opposing the EDL.
