The new Chief Constable of North Yorkshire Police has outlined his aims for the force
The new Chief Constable of North Yorkshire, Dave Jones, will outline his aims and ambitions for the force this afternoon. He was previously Assistant Chief Constable of rural Northern Ireland and before that, he worked in Greater Manchester.
The force did not renew the contract of the previous Chief Constable, Grahame Maxwell, who admitted gross misconduct in May 2011.
