Cleveland Police is facing further compensation payouts - just days after it emerged a solicitor was awarded more than 500 thousand pounds in damages for wrongful arrest.
James Watson was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice in 2009.
He was falsely imprisoned and his family detained, while their home was searched.
No charges were ever brought against him.
