A man has died after being stabbed in South Shields. Northumbria Police were called to the junction of Stanhope Road and Boldon Lane at about 10pm on Friday night where they found the 25-year-old in the street with stab wounds.
The results of the postmortem on a man who was stabbed to death in South Shields are expected today.
David Charlton was attacked was he walked home with his girlfriend after a night out.
It happened at about 10.30pm on Friday evening.
