The father of the missing York chef, Claudia Lawrence who disappeared in March 2009, welcomed a new Commons bill to streamline the legal process when someone goes missing and is believed to be dead.
Peter Lawrence, father of missing Claire Lawrence from York, said the bill would help to ease the the financial and practical complications that families are faced with, when loved ones disappear and no death certificate can be issued.
"I would personally like to thank the local community for their amazing donations of food, toiletries and clothing. "
