45-year-old Chris Bainbridge and his 43-year-old wife Jane were discovered slumped in a wooden camping pod at the Quiet Camp Site near Watermillock in March this year. The couple had lain there for two days before they were discovered.
Today, Coroner Ian Smith said "it was a terrible, tragic, horrible accident that highlighted the dangers of using or lighting barbecues inside tents"
His wife was found unconscious and was taken to hospital and survived.
"I would personally like to thank the local community for their amazing donations of food, toiletries and clothing. "
