Swimming pools remain closed

Two swimming pools remain closed in North Tyneside as a result of last week's flooding.

Tynemouth Pool's plant area was significantly damaged and the council says they are seeking advice on what needs to be repaired and replaced.

The Lakeside Centre's pool was also affected but is expected to open later this week or early next week.

All other leisure facilites are running as normal.
