A six-month trial will see the 787 bus operate between every day between the hours of 2.50am and 5.20am.

Drivers in Sunderland will walk out over the festive period due to what they have described as "poverty pay".

Workers claim that would be a real-terms pay cut, but Stagecoach said its pay offer would make them some of the region's highest paid drivers.
