Officers received report that the group were driving electric motorbikes in a "dangerous manner" along the Quayside, racing on the footpaths.

The temporary barriers are up on Newcastle Quayside as the Environment Agency issued a flood warning due to high tides this afternoon and in the coming days.

The Dakota Hotel is set to take over the disused St Ann’s Wharf building on Newcastle's Quayside which has been empty since last year.
