Tracy Snell's husband Brian was having a cardiac arrest while chopping wood at the beach, when two strangers stepped in to give him lifesaving CPR.

Police and paramedics attended Frosterley Drive, just off Haughton Road, at around 9am on Friday 12 January.

Malcolm Tierney had his leg amputated after he was involved in a collision with a car in Consett, County Durham on 22 June.
