Tyne Tees Demolition

Another Redcar coast landmark will meet its end this week as it is listed for demolition.

The blast furnace site itself will be home to a new project used to reduce the Teesworks' carbon emissions, called Net Zero Teesside.

Built in 1979, the structure has dominated the Teesside coastline since. When it was in operation, it was the second largest of its kind in Europe.
