Tuxedo Royale fire treated as suspicious

Cleveland Police say they're treating a fire which broke out on a former Newcastle party boat as suspicious.

Fire services were called around on Wednesday 31 May to reports of a fire on the Tuxedo Royale.

It took 30 firefighters several hours to bring last night's Tuxedo Royale fire under control. The blaze started around 7pm - see the video here.

Tuxedo Royale fire damage in pictures

The floating nightclub, which was originally moored on the Tyne, caught fire around 7pm on Wednesday evening.

Since 2006 the ship has spent her retirement in a dockyard on Teesside.

It was here that the fire broke out.
