Judge sentences men in connection with Yarm and Middlesbrough jewellers armed robberies
Eleven men have been sentenced at Teesside Crown Court in connection with two violent armed robberies at Market Cross Jewellers in Yarm and Middlesbrough.
Eight members of what police called an organised crime group entered early guilty pleas in relation to the robberies in November 2014 and January 2015.
Over £600,000 of stock was taken and staff were threatened with weapons including one item which resembled a handgun.

Dramatic footage of Yarm jewellers armed robberies
Dramatic CCTV and mobile phone footage has been released of an armed robbery on a jewellers in Yarm where staff were threatened with weapons, and stock worth over £500,000 was taken.
Mobile phone footage of the robbers leaving the scene shot by a member of the public has also been released.
Police say the robberies were planned meticulously by the organised crime group.
Judge: Robbers were "determined and professional"
The Judge sentencing men for their involvement in two armed robberies in Yarm and Middlesbrough has said they were "planned, determined and professional".
Judge Tony Briggs at Teesside Crown Court said the men's use of "very significant force" resulted in a "distressing and frightening ordeal" for staff shoppers and passers by.

Two brothers from Teesside have been jailed for their involvement in two violent armed robberies at jewellers in Yarm and Middlesbrough.
Antony Northmore, 25, from Thornaby, has been sentenced to 12 years for conspiracy to commit robbery in connection to the incidents in Yarm and Middlesbrough.
Scott Northmore, 20, from Thornaby, has been sentenced to 4 years for conspiracy to commit robbery in Yarm. The Judge Tony Briggs said at Teesside Crown Court that he played a lesser role in the robbery.
Nine other men were sentenced in relation to the robberies in November 2014 and January 2015.

Joseph Donovan, 25, from Manchester has been sentenced to 12 years for conspiracy to commit robbery in Yarm.
Jamie Scott, 28, from Manchester has been sentenced to 12 years for conspiracy to commit robbery in Middlesbrough.
Liam Wright, 25, from Manchester has been sentenced to 10 years for conspiracy to commit robbery in Middlesbrough.
Scott Northmore, 20, from Cleveland, has been sentenced to 4 years for conspiracy to commit robbery in Yarm. The Judge said he payed a lesser role in the robbery.
Ian Ogden, 26, from Manchester has been sentenced to 7 years for conspiracy to commit robbery in Yarm and Middlesbrough.

David Patmore, 32, from Manchester, has been sentenced to 19 and a half years in jail for conspiracy to commit robbery at the jewellers in Yarm along with a number of other crimes.
Shaun Booth, 32, from Manchester has been sentenced to 12 years and eight months in jail for conspiracy to commit robbery at the jewellers in Yarm.
