The funeral of Megan Roberts has been announced.

The 20-year-old student went missing after a night out in York in January. Her body was found in the River Ouse over a month later.

The private family funeral will take place in Harrogate on Thursday, 13 March.

A memorial service take place later at St James’s Church in Wetherby.

Megan Roberts' father: She was a "wonderful, kind and loving daughter"

Megan Roberts' father, Jason Roberts, has paid tribute to his daughter.

This comes after North Yorkshire Police identified a body found in the River Ouse as the student who has been missing since Thursday 23 January.

Megan Roberts was an "intelligent, talented and beautiful person", says her mother

Megan Roberts.

Megan Roberts' mother, Jackie, has paid tribute to her daughter. She said she was an "intelligent, talented and beautiful person". This comes after North Yorkshire Police identified a body found in the River Ouse as the missing student.

Jackie Roberts said: “We would like to thank the police, fire service, and the public that have been involved in the search for Megan. We would also like to thank everyone who has offered support and comfort during this painful time.

“Megan was an intelligent, talented and beautiful person whose kindness and sense of humour will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.”

Megan Roberts went missing on Thursday 23 January.
