A heartbroken mum has made a desperate appeal to help find her daughter's body, five years after she went missing in Middlesbrough.

Natalie Jenkins disappeared in December 2019 and is believed to have been murdered.

In 2021, Cleveland Police arrested five people in connection with the case but all were later released without charge.

Natalie, from Thornaby, was seen on CCTV walking towards Albert Park, on Park Road South in Middlesbrough, at 11.38pm on 10 December 2019.

It is believed the 32-year-old was still in this area in the early hours of the following day.

Natalie's mum Sylvia Jenkins told Teesside Live: "This will be our fifth Christmas without Natalie. Somebody knows what happened to Natalie, someone knows where Natalie is.

"All we want, as a family, is closure. All we want is to lay Natalie to rest."

Sylvia has also lost two sons in tragic circumstances. In 2004, her eldest son Anthony died when he fell from a balcony at his home in Thornaby in an accident. He was just 24.

Her youngest son Neville died in August 2021. The 38-year-old had suffered for a long time with drug addiction but died of diabetic ketoacidosis.

Sylvia accepts that her daughter Natalie is no longer alive, despite a body never having been found.

She is desperate to bury her alongside Neville and Anthony.

"All I want is my little girl to be buried with her brothers," she said.

Sylvia also said Natalie's former boyfriend has since died, which had further dashed her hopes for answers.

"As soon as I heard he had died, I held Natalie's memorial," she said. "Because if anybody was going to say anything it would have been him.

"I think he died knowing who had done this to Natalie. He didn't tell before he died and I think it's because he was too frightened.

"I don't even care if justice isn't done. I just want my little Natalie's body. That's all I want. She shouldn't be laid in the cold, in the mud, somewhere."

Anyone who may have information in relation to Natalie's disappearance can call Cleveland Police on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
