Emergency crews are pumping millions of gallons of water away from homes and businesses in Malton in North Yorkshire, where the River Derwent has reached record highs.

It comes after Storm Christoph has hit the region this week, with thawing snow and heavy rainfall causing flooding around the region.

A small number of properties have been flooded but fire chiefs are hoping the worst is over.
