Leaping with the salmon and sea trout in Hexham

As the autumn months set in, the cascading waters over Hexham Weir becomes a scene of one of nature's most spectacular migrations.

Standing on the banks of the Tyne, salmon and sea trout can be seen leaping high from the river to overcome the weir as they make their way up the river to their spawning grounds in the Pennines.

Let's take a moment and enjoy mother nature at work.
