Hundreds line the streets as Jack Charlton's funeral cortège passes through childhood home town of Ashington
Hundreds of people lined the streets to pay their respects as World Cup winner Jack Charlton's funeral procession made its way through his home town of Ashington in Northumberland.

The cortège drove along Newbiggin Road, North Seaton Road and Woodhorn Road before pausing outside the Children's Centre on Alexandra Road. Hundreds of members of the public lined the route and paid their respects.
Ron Freeman first met Jack Charlton when he was just 13 years old. The World Cup winner helped inspire him to follow his dreams to become a hang glider for Great Britain.
Only immediate family attended the funeral due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Northumberland County Council had worked with the Charlton family and police beforehand to ensure safety at the procession.
Jack Charlton died on Friday 10 July aged 85. He had been diagnosed with lymphoma and dementia.
His death prompted an outpouring of affection from the world of football and beyond.
He played alongside his brother Bobby in the England World Cup winning team in 1966 and is the sixth member of the squad to have died.
Jack Charlton spent the whole of his 21-year playing career with Leeds United, making a record number of appearances.
As a manager he took charge at Middlesbrough and Newcastle, before leading the Republic of Ireland at two World Cups.
He was a devoted family man and leaves a widow, Pat, three children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
One of his grandchildren, Emma Wilkinson, spoke to ITV Tyne Tees at the funeral.
