Staff at care home damaged by large fire thank local community for their generosity

Staff at a Sunderland care home devastated by fire have been thanked for following evacuation procedures, ensuring there were no casualties.

Six people were taken to hospital after the fire broke out at Croft House Care Home on Friday.

In a statement, the home's management team praised emergency services and thanked the community for donating food, toiletries and clothing.

A Go Fund Me Page for the elderly residents has raised almost 7 thousand pounds.
