Flamingo Land achieves a 'UK first' in lockdown and visitors are welcome
Flamingo Land in North Yorkshire has announced the zoo is now open after a three month closure because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The government has now eased the restrictions on visiting zoos and Flamingo Land is ready to welcome visitors back, but they must adhere to new social distancing rules.
The aquarium will not be open and visitors will also be asked to stay out of the reptile area as well as various play areas.
During the lockdown Flamingo Land keepers have successfully mixed their two white rhinos with three Northern cheetahs. This is the first time a zoo has managed this in the UK.
