Murder investigation launched after man dies following fatal assault in Blyth
A murder investigation has been launched after a man died following a fatal assault in Blyth.
Police received a report that a 34-year-old man had been assaulted outside an address at Croften Street, Blyth, at 1.15pm on Wednesday 29 April.
Emergency services attended and the man was taken to hospital with serious injuries and died the following day.
Seven men were arrested in connection with the incident. Four remain in police custody and are assisting detectives with their enquiries, while three have been released on bail.
Officers are now appealing for anyone with information, or who may have witnessed the incident, to get in touch.
