Newcastle photographer triumphs in World’s Best Food Photo Awards

Newcastle photographer James Byrne has been recognised in the prestigious Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year 2020 Awards.

Mr Byrne made his mark at the world’s leading celebration of food photography and film, by coming Third in InterContinental Food at the Table with his beautiful shot Autumn Plant Based Feast.

The founder of the awards described the shot as 'stunning' and said it's more important than ever to remember what brings us together.

For the first time since the competition launched in 2011, the ceremony was held online. Winners were announced by legendary musician and cheesemaker, Alex James, in a live streamed event on April 28.
