Newcastle primary school flies rainbow flags and decorations to support headteacher targeted with homophobic abuse
A headteacher from Newcastle who was targeted by homophobic abuse says he has been overwhelmed by support, after students decorated the school with rainbow flags and hearts.
Mr Wallis-Clarke, who has worked at Hotspur Primary School in Heaton, Newcastle for 15 years, arrived to work last week to find homophobic graffiti sprayed opposite the school.
Police are treating the incident as a hate crime.A Northumbria Police spokesperson said:
