Body found near Helmsley believed to be missing teacher Nicholas Harper
North Yorkshire Police say a body found near woodland near to Cowhouse Bank car park, Helmsley, is believed to be that of Nicolas Harper.
The 50-year-old teacher has been missing since 7 February 2019.
Mr Harper left his home on the morning of Thursday 7 February and was believed to be heading for work. However, he didn't arrive and his car was later found at Cowhouse Wood in Helmsley.
Although formal identification has yet to take place, Mr Harper’s family have been informed.
Police do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
