Heavy rainfall results in localised flooding in parts of County Durham
Residents and local businesses in parts of County Durham are being warned to 'Be Prepared' as heavy rainfall continues in the region.
There is localised flooding in Middleton-in-Teesdale, with surface water making driving conditions poor.
A flood alert for the River Tees has been issued until Sunday morning, as rain continues to cause a rise in river levels.
Areas most at risk are riverside footpaths and low lying land and roads in the Tees Valley. Flooding of properties is not currently expected but people living in the area are encouraged to 'Be Prepared'.
