CCTV shows robber with large knife burst into shop, forcing terrified staff to flee
A robber carrying a large kitchen knife burst into a Normanby shop and left terrified shop workers running into the street to safety.
The man burst into the Premier shop, in Hollywalk Avenue, at 7am on Wednesday clutching the weapon.
He ordered staff to hand over money from the till.
Fearing for their safety, the employees ran away from the store.
The robber left with a large amount of money and made his way along Flatts lane and through an alleyway towards Garden Place.
Police have today released this CCTV footage in a bid to catch the man responsible.
Officers say the suspect is described as:
White man
Around 5ft 8ins tall
Aged in his early thirties
Of slim build.
