Easington teenager Molly Scott leaves The X Factor - "I'm just so thankful"
16-year-old X Factor star Molly Scott has left competition after her Fright Night performance on the talent show. The Easington teenager told ITV viewers she was "just so thankful" for the opportunity to perform on the show. Her mentor, Simon Cowell, apologised to her for "letting her down" and he joked that he wanted a recount.
Boy band United Vibe received the fewest votes so they were sent home first. Molly was then left to fight for her place in a 'sing off' against duo Acacia and Aaliyah. She chose Christina Perri’s Human but was voted out by Nile Rogers, Ayda Field and Louis Tomlinson. The One Director star told Molly: "Molly you’re not quite there yet. I’m going to keep this short and sweet – I’m sending home Molly.”
Sunday night’s results show had sound issues and as a result host Dermot O’ Leary revealed that the 12 performances would be shown “in their full glory” before the vote opened on Sunday.
