Organisers say Newcastle Pride, which launched on Friday night at Nunsmoor, is expected to be the 'biggest ever', following last year's record 73,000 attendance.
On Saturday thousands of people took to the streets at noon for the annual Pride march, which last year attracted 16,000 marchers.
