Sunderland relegated to League One
Sunderland have been relegated to League One after defeat against fellow strugglers Burton Albion at the Stadium of Light.
It is the second successive relegation for the Black Cats, with them dropping out of the Premier League last season.
Sunderland scored after just five minutes to give their fans hope, but lost in the final 10 minutes of the game to send them down.
Speaking to the club's website after the game, manager Chris Coleman called the relegation "a horrible feeling" and apologised to fans.
It's the first time Sunderland have been in the third tier of English football for more than 30 years.
