Three lorries burnt out in haulage depot fire

An investigation's been launched into a fire that destroyed a number of heavy goods vehicles and trailers in County Durham.

It happened at the John Dickinson Transport depot near Staindrop, in the early hours of bank holiday Monday.

Three vehicles were completely burnt out.

Fire crews were at the scene for around five hours.
