Council to help Hartlepool United pay players
Hartlepool Borough Council has agreed to loan Hartlepool United £77,500 to help the football club during its current financial difficulties.
The temporary loan comes after the club approached the Council to ask for help to pay an upcoming salary bill.
Negotiations are continuing to secure a new owner for Hartlepool United.
It's the second time in four months that the club has asked for financial support from the Council.
The first time was in December 2017 when the Council agreed a temporary loan, which was fully repaid by the end of January 2018, as agreed.
