North East marathon runners to take on new challenge
Sunderland's Aly Dixon and Wallsend's Sonia Samuels are both to take on the 'Big Half' marathon - a month before she is due to compete in the Commonwealth games.
The race is a new London’s brand new half marathon on Sunday 4 March and will be used by the professionals as a run-out ahead of the Virgin Money London Marathon (April 22nd) and the Commonwealth Games in Australia.
Sir Mo Farah will be competing for the men over the 13.1 miles too.
