January's 'Super Blue Moon'

On the last night of January we saw the rare occurrence of a 'Super Blue Moon'.

It was 'SUPER' because it appeared closer and brighter than usual.

It was classed as 'BLUE' as it was the second full moon in a calendar month - an unusual event.

Thanks to a luna eclipse some parts of the world saw the moon take on an orange/red hue.

So they technically saw a 'Super Blue BLOOD Moon'.

We were not as lucky, but we still had some stunning scenes.
