ITV's Judge Rinder, the grandson of a Holocaust child survivor, helped launch a Memorial Exhibition in Newcastle.

Robert Rinder's grandfather was one of 732 orphan child survivors who were brought to the UK after being liberated from concentration camps.

They colloquially became known as "The Boys", although around 80 of them were girls. An event commemorating the liberation and lives of the orphans was held in January at Newcastle's City Library.

The exhibition showcases a range of replica memory quilts which were created in 2015 to mark the 70th anniversary of the liberation. Two new quilts made by children at Stocksfield, St John's and Kingston Park Primary Schools will also be on display.
