Tyne Tees Weather - Turning milder but windier

FRIDAY AFTERNOON:

Rain, sleet and snow moves out into the North Sea. A dry afternoon but rather cloudy and remaining rather cold with afternoon highs to 4°C.

OVERNIGHT:

Any lingering rain clearing during the evening. It will become cold under clear skies with light winds allowing a widespread frost to develop with a risk of icy patches. Lows -2°C.

SATURDAY:

A bright but cold start, before further rain and hill snow spreads northeast through the morning. Becoming bright and breezy later with the odd shower, and feeling less cold. Highs 7°C.

INTO 2018:

It will remain milder than of late throughout, and changeable with spells of rain or showers interspersed with drier, brighter intervals. Windy at times with a risk of gales.

For midnight on Sunday.....chilly, blustery but mainly dry and frost free.
