Fresh hope for the Chennai Six imprisoned in India
There is new hope tonight for the families of six security workers, three of them from the North East and North Yorkshire, who have been detained in India for four years.
Nick Dunn is from Ashington, Paul Towers is from near York, and Nicholas Simpson from Catterick.
ITV News understands that the Supreme Court of India has ruled the men must hear the result of their appeal against a five year sentence for carrying illegal weapons by the end of the month.
The group have always maintained they had permission to have the weapons.
