Tyneside dad completes 300 mile charity challenge for the Freeman Hospital
The dad of a little boy, whose life was saved by staff at a Newcastle Hospital, has finished his final charity challenge.
Ivan Hollingsworth's son, Sebastian, underwent surgery at the Children's Heart Unit at the Freeman Hospital at 16 weeks old after being born with a congenital defect.
For 8 years, Ivan has tirelessly fundraised to thank the unit that saved his son's life.
In this, his toughest and final challenge, he was hoping to break the half a million pound fundraising target.
The total on the SEB4CHUF just giving page sits at over £497,000.[](https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/seb4chuf)You can donate by clicking this link.
