Thornaby break-in and Yarm attempted burglary 'could be linked'
Police are appealing for information after an attempted break-in inThornaby and a burglary in Yarm.
A burglary occurred on The Larun Beat in Yarm between 11.55am on28 September and 12.15am on 29 September. It's believed three males forced entry into the property and took items including jewellery and a watch. They left the scene in a dark Audi A4 or A5 which was being driven by a fourth person.
The suspects are described as white and in their late teens or twenties.
In another incident, at around 3.25pm on 29 September, three males were disturbed attempting to break in to a property on Cranwell Close in Thornaby. Again the males were seen using a dark coloured Audi.
Officers are not ruling out a link between the two incidents.
