Historic Northumberland bridge to close for repairs
An historic Northumberland bridge will be closed for a month for repairs.
Chollerford Bridge, a Grade II listed structure, was built in 1785 after the previous bridge was swept away in the great floods of 1771.
The work will involve masonry repairs, resurfacing and the traffic lights will be upgraded.
Road closures will be in place from the October 8 while the works are carried out and is scheduled to finish November 5.
