Alnwick Castle offers 'spooktacular' dungeon tours

Alnwick Castle is set to invite visitors into its medieval dungeons for the first time – just in time for Halloween.

The “After Dark” tours will explore the spookiest stories from the castle’s history, with guides sharing the chilling tales of those who have lived and died within its walls over the centuries.

Organisers say the tours are not for the faint heated, but with spaces limited on each tour, those who are brave enough are advised to book early to avoid disappointment.

Under cover of darkness and with the help of an experienced guide steeped for years in the castle’s history, Alnwick Castle is allowing a few brave guests into its murky depths for a series of “After Dark” Halloween tours.
