Help find Boris! Ouseburn's plea to find stolen tortoise
Ouseburn Farm workers have appealed for help on social media after one of their tortoises has been stolen.
Boris the Red Toed Tortoise was taken yesterday afternoon (20 September) and the hunt is on to see Boris safely returned home.
Workers say they are currently checking CCTV footage and are looking at new security measures to protect the animals that the charity care for.
They also say they're saddened that those responsible have 'spoiled' the experience for others.
Writing on Facebook, a spokesperson for Ouseburn Farm has said:
"If anyone hears of anyone trying to sell this animal could you please let us know.
Due to this theft we are now having to take measures to step up our security, and gates leading to the farm will be closed. The only entrance to the farm will be through the main doors at the front of the building.
It is unfortunate that the people responsible for this spoil experiences for others!"
Ouseburn Farm have notified the police but are asking anyone who's seen Boris to get in touch via their Facebook page.
