First offshore wind turbine arrives at Blyth
The first new wind turbine has been lifted into place as part of a new offshore wind farm off the coast near Blyth, Northumberland.
Five turbines are to be installed.
EDF Energy Renewables said they would provide enough low carbon electricity to power 33,000 homes.
The power generated by the wind farm will be supplied to an electricity substation at Blyth, for transmission to the National Grid.
