County Durham X Factor hopeful has 'perfect voice'

Teenage singing sensation Shanaya Atkinson-Jones brought the judges to tears as she auditioned for ITV show The X Factor.

The 19-year-old from Newton Aycliffe sang Say Something by Great Big World, featuring Christina Aguilera. Judge Louis Walsh said it was the 'perfect song' adding that she had the 'perfect voice'.

Shanaya was supported on the day by her proud parents. She was adopted at the age of three and spoke openly about the happiness she shares with her mother and father. By the end of the song, her mother and judge Nicole Scherzinger were in tears.

Four yes votes mean Shanaya is off to Boot Camp to battle it out in the next round of the talent show.
