Armed robbery at Middlesbrough bookmakers
Police are investigating after an armed robbery at a bookies in Middlesbrough.
It happened around 8:50pm on Tuesday 18 July at Ladbrokes on Borough Road.
Two men broke into the betting shop, where one man jumped over the counter, brandishing a large knife.
The man tried, unsuccessfully to open the cash drawer, before threatening a male member of staff, ordering him to open it.
The staff member opened the drawer, then the man stole a quantinty of cash from inside.
Both men then took off towards Rutland Court leaving the 26-year- old member of staff badly shaken by the incident.

Black
In his 20s
Around 6'3" tall
Wearing a black bobble hat
A skull bandana over his face, with white teeth on it
Navy Adidas tracksuit bottoms with white stripes
Black waist length jacket
He was wearing light coloured gloves
Spoke with a Middlesbrough/African accent.
The second man is described as:
In his 20s
Around 5'9"
Wearing a white clown mask with orange or green hair attached
He wore dark clothing and black gloves
Spoke with a Middlesbrough accent
