Bradley Lowery's short but inspirational life in pictures
Bradley Lowery, whose fight with cancer inspired people around the world, has died at the age of six.
Bradley was diagnosed with neuroblastoma when he was two-years-old, but at the end of last year, his family were told he wouldn't survive.
Announcing his death, his parents Gemma and Carl, who live at Blackhall Colliery in County Durham said Bradley died earlier this afternoon, in their arms.
"He was our little superhero and put up the biggest fight, but was needed elsewhere. There are no words to describe how broken hearted we are. Sleep tight baby boy and fly high with the angels."
Bradley gained national attention after he appeared as a mascot for his beloved Sunderland Football Club. Thousands of people across the UK took him to their hearts and he formed a remarkable friendship with the striker Jermain Defoe.
