A song recorded to raise funds for the Bradley Lowery Foundation has made it into the top five in the charts.

Smile For Bradley, a cover of Charlie Chaplin's Smile, performed by Hartlepool singing sisters Liv'n'G, has entered the charts at number four.

Proceeds from the song's release will go to the foundation set up in honour of terminally ill Bradley, from Blackhall Colliery, County Durham, who has a rare form of childhood cancer.

The girls, 16-year-old Olivia Crawford and 22-year-old Georgia, said they have been overwhelmed by the support they have received.

Olivia said: "We couldn't believe it when we found out we were number four.

"We never believed it would so do well. It's amazing."

Georgia added: "It's great to see that there are many people behind Bradley. His mum has been in touch to say it's amazing."

It's the second single the girls have released for Bradley. At Christmas they released Bradley Lowery ‘Our Superhero (A Christmas Wish)’ which made the top 30 in the iTunes download charts.

Money raised from Smile For Bradley will go towards a foundation set up by six-year-old Bradley's parents Gemma and Carl, which aims to support other youngsters fighting cancer.
