Family and fans pay tribute to Gateshead biker Davey Lambert

The family of a Gateshead biker, who died after being injured in a Superbike race, say he 'went out of this world in exactly the way he would have wanted'.

Davey Lambert 'sustained multiple injuries' at the Isle of Man TT event on Sunday 4 June.

His family posted a statement to Facebook to confirm Davey lost his fight and to thank the emergency services.

Biking fans have taken to Twitter to express their sadness.
