Eleven people found semi-conscious in Newcastle after taking 'lethal highs'

Police in Newcastle have issued that they are calling a 'stern warning' after receiving calls to eleven different reports of people semi-conscious after taking so called 'lethal highs'.

All the calls were made from 2pm on Sunday 4th June in the city centre.

Five people were taken to hospital as a precaution.

It's believed they'd been taking the drug known as Spice.

An investigation is ongoing to try and find out what has been taken and who has supplied the drugs.

Police are now urging members of the public not to take any illegal substances.
